iMARKUP SOLUTIONS’ CONTENT REVIEW SERVER ADDRESSES NEEDS OF WEB CONTENT REVIEW

Formerly iMarkup Workgroup Server, Product Name Changed to Reflect its Purpose
 

San Diego, CA – January 21, 2002 – iMarkup Solutions Inc., (www.imarkup.com), a leading provider of web-based productivity tools, announced that it is changing the name of iMarkup™ Workgroup Server to more accurately describe its function. The name change -- to iMarkup Content Review Server – more accurately describes how the product works within the Web development/review process, addressing the needs of enterprise users collaborating on Web content.

     Version 2.0 of the product, available since September 2001 offers PDF support which enables groups of users to apply annotations, free form drawings and sticky notes to all documents saved in PDF format without having to purchase Adobe Acrobat™ to run on every workstation. The markups are stored on the server and are available to other group members in real time. Also available in Version 2.0 are voice annotations (which allow collaborators to explain information verbally when it is too difficult to communicate the level and type of changes required in writing alone), support for Oracle 8i or higher, the ability to run and modify reports based on Crystal Decision technology and a single sign-on capability.

     “We are changing our product name to more accurately describe what the product does – and how it works,” stated John O’Brien, president and CEO of iMarkup Solutions. “The Content Review Server will help users collaborating on the Web to easily annotate and comment about Web content. Our Document Review Server, available at the end of March, enables users to collaborate on, annotate and review documentation. We believe that these two products provide the powerful and intuitive solutions that business users need when collaborating and communicating about digital content and documents,” he remarked.

     Version 3.0 of the iMarkup Content Review Server will be available in February. Some of the enhancements to the product available in that new version are integrated support for LDAP and Windows Domain security, self-administration capabilities, user and group templates.

     Both the iMarkup’s Content and Document Review Servers run on Windows NT/2000/XP running IIS.
