SAN
DIEGO, California (February 2, 2004)
–- iMarkup Solutions, an innovative provider of web-based document
management and collaboration tools, today announced record revenue for the
quarter ending December 31, 2003. The company also added a record number
of customers during this timeframe, companies headquartered throughout the
U.S., Europe and Asia Pacific.
Despite some negative industry trends and a
challenging sales environment, results for 2003 contributed to a revenue
increase of 89% over the prior year fourth quarter sales. A significant
factor in this growth was the acceptance of the company’s workflow engine
and automated review and approval capabilities which enable companies to
mirror existing business processes, while providing users with the ability
to manage, collaborate on and approve both documents and digital content.
New customers include Capita Group PLC (UK),
Citigroup, DePuy (a Johnson & Johnson Company), Florida Hospital, H&R
Block, Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare, the National Opinion Resource
Center, North Staffordshire Health Authority (UK), the State of North
Dakota, Strong Financial and Sydney Ports (Australia.)
“These outstanding results deliver a clear
message that iMarkup is addressing the needs of the Global 2000 – and that
iMarkup Server v4 provides the robust, customer-focused technology that
companies are seeking,” stated John O’Brien, president and CEO.
Pharmaceutical, health care, financial services
and government agencies have an ongoing requirement to collect, create,
review, approve and maintain documents and digital content. According to
Bob Brearley, Director of MIS with Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare and a
user of iMarkup Server v4, “We run two extranets, two intranets and the
second largest poison control center in the U.S. Using iMarkup’s software
our employees, from administrators to directors, can easily review,
approve and publish their documents and keep the web sites current. This
is not vaporware -- iMarkup’s product works as advertised.”
iMarkup Server v4 addresses the needs of business
users to provide an easy way to manage, distribute, locate, collaborate,
share and review documents and digital content -- supporting users in all
stages of the document lifecycle. The product offers a web-based interface
that can be easily customized and a workflow engine that mirrors existing
processes and has been specifically designed for business users. iMarkup
Server v4 allows users to control, and subsequently publish, approved
documents, eliminating the need to involve IT.
"The outlook for 2004 is equally promising. We
are excited about the opportunities we see -- including helping our
clients maintain compliance with various regulatory mandates. And we
expect to set another revenue record in 2004, ending the year with an
exclamation mark,” concluded O’Brien.
