ISI ResearchSoft and iMarkup Solutions Announce Agreement

iMarkup Annotation Technology Now Available through ISI ResearchSoft

Carlsbad, CA USA March 21, 2003 – Today, Thomson ISI ResearchSoft, a division of ISI and The Thomson Corporation announces an agreement with iMarkup Solutions Inc., a leading provider of web-based collaboration tools. Under the terms of the agreement, ISI ResearchSoft—well known for its products, EndNote^®, ProCite^®, Reference Manager® and WriteNote^®—will resell iMarkup Client^® to the research community.

     ISI ResearchSoft products are used wherever research is performed worldwide, including all leading academic, corporate and government institutions. The power and flexibility of these tools make them ideal for any discipline whether in the sciences or the arts and humanities. The company’s customers include scientists, researchers, information professionals and students who rely on these leading bibliographic tools to advance their research, writing and publishing.

     iMarkup Client enables users to annotate text documents and Web content. Annotation tools include sticky notes, highlighting, free form drawing, voice annotation and more. iMarkup supports single and double-byte character sets, allowing users to work in their native languages. iMarkup Client annotations are overlaid and stored separately from the source documents to ensure that the original data remain intact. iMarkup Client supports all Windows versions, including Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 and XP, and Internet Explorer 4.0, 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0.
