The foundation of the iMarkup Server is a highly collaborative, intuitive, web-based document management system (DM). It provides the functionality an organization needs to manage and secure documents and digital content, supporting users in all stages of the document lifecycle.

Role-based security protects and secures corporate documents and digital content for safe revision and distribution to both internal and external users. iMarkup Server provides business users with a powerful and easy way to manage, distribute, locate, and review documents. During the review and approval processes, corporate users can be assured of secure access to shared documents stored in the iMarkup Server database.

The iMarkup Server is scalable to support any number of users and capable of managing millions of documents on less hardware than other document management systems. The product does not store documents on a file system. Instead, all documents are securely stored in a corporate database (SQL Server, Oracle and IBM DB2) providing easier administration, higher security, distributed/remote database support and a standard backup mechanism unavailable with “file-based” document management systems. iMarkup Server supports all document and file types, with integrated support for Microsoft Office.
