Workflow Automation/BPM
|

The iMarkup Server contains a powerful workflow engine capable of managing your
critical business processes (BPM). The workflow engine is designed to automate your company’s
existing processes, without having to change the way you do business. It can manage
your application, document, or human-centric processes.
The workflow engine was designed for the business user, enabling
organizations to easily model their review and approval procedures, automate the
routing process, monitor the results, and satisfy their content management needs. The
workflow automation engine provides a 100% web-based interface that enables
business users to graphically model and build their processes -- without
development or IT resources. The workflow engine allows documents, forms and tasks to be automatically routed in
accordance with your defined business processes. This enables the continuous
comprehension and management of your business processes, both within and across
organizations. The product aims to align your business processes with the goals
and capabilities of the people and systems that are involved in their execution
- uniting business and technology.

Automated workflows enable organizations to capture their business
processes, ensuring that forms and documents are created, reviewed, approved and published
according to their company policies and procedures. Graphical workflows can be
created by business users without requiring IT resources. The
workflow engine integrates with existing user directories (e.g. Active
Directory, LDAP) allowing users and groups to be assigned as participants of an
automated process. Users that are assigned
workflow tasks are automatically notified via email and presented with a concise and easy to understand
web page
relevant to the task or activity requested of them. They do not require any
specific knowledge about the overall process because requests
are automatically routed to the appropriate users as tasks are completed. |

Key Benefits
-
Speeds Internal Routing Processes. Reduce paper
handling and manual routing to eliminate errors and shorten the lifecycle of
your document, content and forms processing by moving to an online system and automating your workflow
processes.
-
Automates Business Processes. Organizations can have
many different business
processes. The iMarkup Server workflow engine can automate them by giving
business users easy to use workflow tools. Enterprises should not have to
change the way they do business when automating procedures and work. The workflow engine allows existing processes to be mapped into powerful
predefined workflows. A graphical workflow builder and workflow reporter give
business users control over their workflows, without requiring IT assistance.
-
Shortens Projects. No matter the type of
project, time to market is
critical. Business process automation and tracking can accelerate the
completion of internal projects. All team members can perform simultaneous
tasks as part of
the workflow process. Automatic email notifications alert team members when a
task is assigned to them or if they are in jeopardy of missing a due date.
-
Eliminates Errors and Miscommunications. Ensures process consistency, eliminating errors and productivity problems due
to lost or mishandled requests. Predefined workflow definitions guarantee that
the same process is always followed for a project or request. The iMarkup
Server provides efficient tracking, management and reporting on all running
processes.
